What is most useful to send
- A limit that looks wrong. The most valuable message this site receives. If a platform changed a character limit and a page here still shows the old one, that page is giving bad advice until it is fixed.
- A name that was rejected. Tell us the platform, the field and the name you pasted. Rejections usually trace to a rule worth documenting rather than a bug.
- A style or symbol you want added. Say where you plan to use it — a style that breaks on the target platform is not worth adding.
- Something rendering as boxes. Include your device and browser. Empty boxes usually mean a missing font rather than broken text, and knowing which device helps.
Before you write
Two questions come up constantly and are already answered. A stylish name is rejected in an @username field on every major platform — that is a platform rule, not a fault in the characters, and the homepage guide explains which fields do accept them. A name that shows as ☐ is valid text that the reader's device has no glyph for, which is a font problem on that device rather than something this site can fix.
Send a message
Email is the reliable route. The form below is offered as an alternative and tells you plainly if it cannot send, in which case the email address is right there underneath it. Either way, an address is needed only so a reply can reach you — the how that address is handled covers what happens to it.
